Jesse’s Law message spreads on TikTok

As the petition grew, we started telling Jesse’s story in short videos on TikTok and other platforms. Social media isn’t where we expected to spend our grief, but it turned out to be where people were listening.

In those clips, we explained what Jesse’s Law would do in plain language: if you see someone seriously hurt, don’t walk away. Call 911. We talked about the 45‑minute gap, the silence at the scene, and the fact that there was no legal duty for anyone to help Jesse.

Those videos reached people who might never read a news article or a long petition text. They shared, stitched, and commented. Some said it changed how they would behave if they were ever at a party or out in the woods and someone got hurt. That is exactly the kind of shift we are trying to create.
